We had a record breaking day again today . . . 33 card actually made at
Linda's. Add that to the ones I have that have been made, donated, discarded
from days gone by, etc . . . there will be a grand total of 204 cards delivered
to Hospice. Grand total so far . . .

Everyone stand up, take a bow and pat yourself on the back.
I know I say this every time but they are so grateful when they see me coming
with a box of cards and they literally spend an hour or more going through them
and ooohing and ahhhhing at them.
We had a great time today. Linda was the perfect hostess and brought her
entire craft room down to the first floor for us to use. OK, maybe not all
of it but it seemed like she made enough trips up and down the stairs that she
didn't have to go to the gym today or tomorrow. Tammy came armed with her
design in her head and just whipped them out. Kelly brought chocolate covered
strawberries (need I say more?). Glenda brought along a "kit" she purchased a
number of years ago and whipped out her cards without spilling any of the
delicious chicken salad she brought on them. Me? I brought a bunch of "stuff"
(paper, card sets, ribbon, stickers, embellishments). All the donations that I
have stashed in the "Hospice" boxes. Thankfully we got rid of quite a bit of
it.
We ate our wonderful lunch outside (chicken salad on croissants, pasta salad,
red pepper hummus with veggies, the chocolate covered strawberries and brownies.
As if that wasn't enough . . . Linda had some wonderful sweet pea pods she had
sauteed with a little toasted sesame oil for her lunch and WE ate almost all of
it when she offered to share.
Thanks everyone for all your participation in this project. You are doing a
world of good. At our next "Hospice Day", we will be challenging Pat's other
group who think they are on a par with us to a throwdown and Pat said she would
bring lunch. What a deal that is huh?
